In all honesty if trillons of dollars weren't spent in a war we have no business being in, maybe we wouldn't be in a recession?
Let me admit ignorance, and I use that term correctly as lack of knowlegdge, about our economy and all the cause and effects related to our current "rough times."
It's all quite disconcerting that I don't know if I'll have a job 6 months from now. Many of my friends have no job security. It's very scary and stressful. Will Obama save the day?
Don't get me wrong, I was excited when Obama was elected. His key word "Change" ran through my head with high hopes, HOWEVER, most people aren't ready for change. Most people I know complain about life no matter who is in office, who our congressman is, or who our mayor might be.
Some people are just plain miserable, and instead of taking personal responibility, they blame the govenment, yes I'm talking about Liberals! It bothers me, that my party affiliation is associated with whiny, lazy, hold my hand mommy liberals.
That's why I find myself in the middle, with my views a tad to the left. Let's see if Obama will be the next Kennedy. Would that excite anyone? hahaha.
Keep in mind that I'm 23 years old, and being young and a tad idealist counteracts my hardships that I've faced so young and no longer want to be naive. Enlighten me.

( 2.8 / 470 )Hello there, I must say that I have never really "blogged" before. If anything, I rant on my myspace page once in a blue moon. But since Jack and Kevin don't have me on the air often, anything that they may talk about, I might put my two cents in! Honestly, I have to say that the joke to all my friends and peers is that I'm the only Democrat that works for a "conservative" talk radio station. As "fair and balanced" some of the programs may claim they are, let's all just get honest with ourselves and admit that the majority of the views expressed on the programs here are leaning to the right.
Politics was never a big issue when I was growing up in my family. My mother and father are both registered Independents (as far as I know that hasn't changed). My mother's views are almost as confusing as mine, for since I have worked for this station, some things have become clearer, and others have become more confusing. My father has an interesting voting record, the last being Nader, because a seat belt saved my life.
I honestly love working for this radio station, and have been for over 2.5 years. I came on here as the intolerable liberal, and now I think most listeners might find it refreshing to hear a 23 year old's opinions on some of the issues in the world. My generation is the future! Don't tick us off! hahahaha just kidding.
I'm sure I'll be the one to blog the most on here, because someone has to do it. Otherwise Jack, Kevin, Dave, or even Paulo, might login on here and write a little bit themselves! Welcome to our new home on the Web, and our new voice on our Blog! Thanks for reading, and always, thanks for listening to WQMR!
